How to choose the right algaecide

Before you treat, confirm:
  • Pool volume (litres) for accurate dosing
  • Algae type: green water vs black algae vs mustard/yellow algae (where applicable)
  • Filtration condition: backwash/clean first so the filter can remove debris
  • Water balance: pH in range improves treatment effectiveness
Tip: After treatment, run the pump continuously for a period and brush walls/floor to lift algae into circulation. Always follow label directions and never mix chemicals directly.
